Scoring average of 75.17 was third-best on the team
Continuing a look back at the 2019 fall season, one of the highlights for the team was undoubtedly the return of senior Cherise Otter (Bloomington, Ind.) to the lineup. Otter saw her junior season of 2018-19 ended early due to a wrist injury, and her status for the current season was uncertain coming into the fall. Cherise worked hard to get back to playing health, and she was able to see action in four of five fall tournaments for the Tigers. She averaged a solid 75.17 stroke average in 12 rounds, good for third-best on the team as she provided valuable contributions to the lineup.
Otter's fall highlight came in the 2019 Johnie Imes Invitational, where she helped lead the Tigers to their sixth-straight team title thanks to her career-best fourth-place finish. At the Imes, Otter shot rounds of 71-69-73 for a career-best 213 total to finish just four shots shy of medalist honors. The second-round three-under par 69 tied her career best round as a Tiger.
The three-time SEC Academic Honor Roll awardee also excels in the classroom, as she carries a 3.62 cumulative grade point average as a business marketing major.
