COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball once again excelled academically, registering an outstanding 3.14 cumulative grade point average during the recent fall 2020 semester. A whopping 38 student-athletes surpassed a 3.00 GPA this fall, including 19 individuals eclipsing a 3.50 GPA and two Tigers tallying a perfect 4.00 GPA.
Under Mizzou Baseball head coach Steve Bieser, the Tigers have now exceeded a 3.00-plus GPA for three consecutive fall semesters, setting a new program record.

The Tigers have flourished in the classroom the past several years, highlighted by back to back American Baseball Coaches Association (ABCA) Team Academic Excellence Awards. This summer, Mizzou was only one of 65 Division I programs to receive the higher academic honor and only one of two Southeastern Conference institutions to do so.
Mizzou's strong start to the 2020-21 school year is of no surprise, following a historic showing in 2019-20. The Tigers' 3.36 team GPA in the spring 2020 semester marked their highest spring total in nearly two decades. Individually, 34 of the team's then-40 total players exceeded a 3.00 GPA.
Countless Tigers were recognized for their academic prowess last school year, highlighted by 16 recipients on the 2020 Spring SEC Academic Honor Roll and eight honorees on the 2019-20 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll.
