FOUR TIGERS CLAIM SEC HONORS
Four Tigers claimed Southeastern Conference weekly honors for their performances against TCU on Oct. 16. Keil was named the Female Swimmer of the Week, Rousseau earned Female Diver of the Week honors, Lopez took home Male Diver of the Week accolades, and freshman Daniel Wilson was named the Male Freshman of the Week.
All four Tigers earned SEC Weekly honors for the first time in their career.
Keil won three individual events as the Mizzou women opened the 2020-21 campaign with a 193-100 win over TCU. She raced to outright wins in the 50 free and 100 free and tied for the top spot in the 100 fly against the Horned Frogs, more than doubling her career event win total to five. Her 50 free time of 22.18 was only 0.11 off her personal best and the fastest time in the nation this year. Additionally, Keil's 100 free time of 49.67 ranks second nationally, while her 54.96 in the 100 fly ranks fourth in the country.
Rousseau swept both springboards on Oct. 16, claiming top honors on 1-meter and 3-meter. The junior posted 284.1 points to win the 1-meter crown, and compiled 302.78 points on 3-meter for her fifth and sixth event crowns of her Tiger career.
Also sweeping the diving events was Lopez, who took home both wins on the men's side. He earned a six-dive score of 314.9 and tallied 352.73 points on 3-meter. The wins were the fourth and fifth of Lopez's career.
Wilson impressed in his first collegiate meet, as he tied for second in the 50 free with a time of 20.57, and tied for fourth in the 100 free in 44.73. Wilson also swam the 100 fly in exhibition in 49.14, a time that would have ranked him third overall in the event.
