Franssen, Tsai Fire Career-Low Rounds on Day 2 in Nashville

Three Tigers are in the Top 30 at the Legends Collegiate Invite
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Golf moved up to 11th at the Legends Collegiate Invite in Nashville through 36 holes, posting a season-low 278 as a team in the second round of the three-day tournament. The Tigers shot 6-under on the Par 71 course on Monday, led by senior Rory Franssen's career-low 67.
Redshirt sophomore Ross Steelman is T-13 individually. He followed a historic 7-under 64 on Sunday with a 72 on Monday, tallying 11 birdies through 36 holes.
Franssen and sophomore Yu-Ta Tsai both matched career-low rounds to steer the Tigers in Round 2. Franssen fired five birdies and eagled the 17th hole to post a 4-under 67. He is T-30 at 1-under par for the tournament. Tsai followed a solid 72 in Sunday's opening-round with a 2-under 69 on Monday, which matched his personal career-low. Tsai joins Franssen at T-30 overall heading into Tuesday's final 18 holes.
Columbia native Jack Parker fired a 1-under 70 in Round 2, going bogey-free on the back nine. Parker now has 15 career rounds under par. He and fellow teammate Tommy Boone are T-60 through two rounds. Boone, who is making his first start of the 2020-21 campaign, shot a 1-over 72 on Monday.
