
Mizzou Wrestling’s Dom Bradley Wins Freestyle Title at Senior Nationals

Bradley earned a spot on the Olympic Trials with his 3-2 title bout win over Anthony Nelson
FORT WORTH, Texas – Mizzou Wrestling volunteer assistant coach Dom Bradley won his third career Senior Nationals title Sunday when he edged Anthony Nelson of the Gopher WC RTC, 3-2 at 125 kg.
Bradley jumped out to a 2-0 lead at the break, with a point from Nelson not scoring on the shot clock, followed by a step out point. After Nelson closed it to 2-1, Bradley scored a key point on a stepout to lead 3-1, and Nelson was only able to score one more point.
Bradley was an All-American for Missouri, while Nelson, a Senior Nationals runner-up last year, won two NCAA titles for Minnesota.
Bradley earned a spot on the Olympic Trials roster at 125 kg. He was one of 76 new athletes who qualified for the Olympic Trials after podium performances at the Senior Nationals in Fort Worth, Texas, with 52 in men's freestyle.
The Olympic Trials are set for April 4-5 at the Bryce Jordan Center on the campus of Penn State University in University Park, Pa.
The winners of the Trials will compete for the United States at the 2020 Olympic Games in Tokyo, Japan, if their respective weight has been qualified.
This year, the weight classes will go from 30 Worlds weights to only 18 Olympic weights. Below is a list of the 125 kg grapplers who will be fighting for spots on the Olympic team in April.
