COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball juniors Kylie Deberg and Tyanna Omazic were named 2019 American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Southeast All-Region, announced Tuesday by the organization.
Deberg secured her second consecutive All-Region recognition, while Omazic produced her first career All-Region accolade. Since 2000, Mizzou has now tallied 34 total AVCA All-Region awards. From 2000-11, the Tigers garnered 15 Central All-Region winners, while recording 19 Southeast All-Region recipients from 2012-present.
"Kylie and Tyanna are both incredibly deserving of this honor and we're very proud of their accomplishments on the court this season," said Mizzou Volleyball head coach Joshua Taylor. "Our success on the court this year was a true team effort and I believe additional Tigers were deserving of this recognition as well. We certainly have a great talent base heading into 2020 and already can't wait to get back to work for next season."

In 2019, Deberg produced one of the top individual single-seasons in Mizzou Volleyball history. The Hudson, Iowa, native finished with 524 kills, 49 aces and 612.5 points to pace one of the NCAA's most electric offenses. Deberg's 524 kills and 4.72 kills per set were the most in Tiger single-season history.
The Tiger outside hitter became only the second Mizzou player in program history with 600-plus points in a single-season, joining Yvette Buhlig's 626.0 points in 1992. Additionally, Deberg's 5.52 points per set ranks second in Mizzou single-season history, while her 49 aces finished tied for seventh.
Fresh off her first career All-SEC award a month ago, Omazic added onto her 2019 awards resume Tuesday. The Kansas City, Missouri, native finished her campaign with 283 kills, .386 hitting percentage, 11 assists, 34 aces, 67 digs and 366.0 points, all establishing new single-season career-highs.
Omazic was a model of consistency on offense this year, recording seven-plus kills on .400-plus hitting 17 times, seven-plus kills on .500-plus hitting in 10 matches and double-digit overall kills 16 times. Her final .386 hitting percentage ranked sixth all-time in Tiger single-season history.
