COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs both rank in the top 10 in the third College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) TYR Top 25 poll of the season, the organization announced on Nov. 13. Then men moved up one spot to No. 3, while the women held steady at No. 9.
The men's team, ranked fourth in the last poll, climbed one spot after a pair of ranked wins a week ago. The Tigers downed then-No. 3 North Carolina State, 252.5-100.5, and then-No. 17 Kentucky 257-96 in a two-day meet last week. The No. 3 ranking matches the second-highest in program history, trailing only the No. 2 ranking achieved on Nov. 23, 2016.
The women stayed at No. 9 after three wins of their own to remain in the top 10 for the third time this season. The squad earned wins over No. 7 North Carolina State (206.5-146.5), then-No. 14 Kentucky (240.5-112.5) and Arkansas (285-68).
The Mizzou men's and women's programs return to the Mizzou Aquatics Center for the Long Course Trials Qualifier on Tuesday, Nov. 19 at 4 p.m. CT. The Tigers then host the three-day Mizzou Invite, Nov. 20-22, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
