Jeremiah Kent vs Canten Marriott
At 174 pounds, Kent racked up a strong 16-5 record in his freshman campaign, during which he brought home a pair of first-place finishes in tournaments. His opponent, redshirt junior Canten Marriott, comes in with a 32-11 career record after a 6-3, injury-shortened season in 2018-19.
Cordel Duhart vs Dylan Wisman
Duhart spent his freshman year at both the 184-pound and the 197-pound weight classes, finishing the season at 13-8, that includes earning top honors at the Roger Denker Open. Wisman, entering his final year at Mizzou, concluded the 2018-19 season with a berth to the NCAA Championships after a 17-9 record and his first MAC Championship. The winner of this bout will also compete against the winner of the Kent/Marriott bout for the final match of the morning.
Dack Punke vs Cam Valdiviez
Punke wrestled to an 11-12 record a season ago while qualifying for the NCAA Championships. At the 125-pound division, the Illinois native garnered six wins in tournament play including a pair of victories in the MAC Championships before falling. Valdiviez is coming off a 9-5 record from 2018-19 that saw him take home a third-place finish at the Lindenwood Open, in which he won five of six bouts.
Allan Hart vs Weston Diblasi
Hart spent his sophomore season earning two first-place tournament finishes en route to a 13-6 overall record, wrestling at both 133 and 141 pounds. Diblasi competed unattached in 2018-19, finishing at 8-3 between tournament play that included a first-place finish at the Missouri Valley Open.
Sam Ritchie vs Alex Butler
Heading into his redshirt senior season, Ritchie owns a 16-26 career record, picking up six victories a season ago at 141 pounds. Butler, also entering his final season at Mizzou, is coming off a successful 14-6 record to push him up to 53 career wins.
Brock Mauller vs Mitchell Bohlken
Mauller opened his Tiger career with a dominant 32-5 record as a freshman at 149 pounds. The Columbia native finished with a perfect season in MAC competition on his way to a conference championship and a sixth-place finish at the NCAA Championships, earning him All-American honors. He enters the year ranked No. 2 nationally at 141 pounds. Bohlken is a true freshman on this year's team, hailing from Smithville High School in west Missouri, just north of Kansas City. He went 155-47 with 95 pins in his high school career.
Phil Deloach vs Jarrett Jacques
Deloach did not see much action during his redshirt junior campaign, finishing with a 2-1 record, all in the Cyclone Open in November. While missing much of the season in 2018-19, one highlight of Deloach's year was earning one of the University's Unsung Hero Awards, an honor given to award selfless acts of initiative and commitment. At 157 pounds, Jacques had a stellar freshman season, finishing with a 27-8 record, while also bringing home a MAC Championship and qualifying for the NCAA Championships.
Peyton Mocco vs Luke Fortuna
Mocco opened his career as a Tiger with a 9-3 record, including ending the season on a four bout win streak in the Missouri Valley Open, hoping to ride the momentum into this year. Fortuna concluded his redshirt junior season at 8-7 overall that saw him earn top honors at the South Beach College Individual.
Martell Boone vs Connor Flynn
Boone spent 2018-19 redshirting during his first year in the program. The sophomore compiled a 15-9 record in tournament play at 165 pounds. Entering his final season at Mizzou, Flynn possesses a career 59-35 record after a 21-win campaign a season ago as he set a career high with five victories via major decision.
Wyatt Koelling vs Jack Flynn
Koelling posted a strong 20-10 season in 2018-19, with a perfect 7-0 record in conference duals, netting him an alternate spot in the NCAA Championships at 197 lbs. Koelling's opponent, sophomore Jack Flynn, finished 2-2 with a pair of falls in the UNI Open.
This past season saw the Tigers earn their fifth consecutive top-10 finish at the NCAA Championships, in which they finished sixth in all of Division I. Mizzou completed the year with a 16-1 record in duals and a perfect 7-0 record in MAC play, on their way to their eighth straight conference championship. The Tigers hope to continue their remarkable success under head coach Brian Smith.
