Poplar Bluff native named to Second Team by national outlet
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball junior OF/1B Kameron Misner was tabbed a Preseason Second-Team All-American by Perfect Game/Rawlings, announced Tuesday by the organization. The Poplar Bluff native was one of 51 players selected to the organization's First, Second and Third Team All-American lists.
The Tigers have been represented in PerfectGame's Preseason All-American list in each of the past four seasons. Misner joins junior LHP TJ Sikkema (2017) and former RHP Tanner Houck (2016, '15) as players to be honored in recent years by the respective outlet.

Despite missing the final 22 games of the 2018 campaign due to injury, Misner produced a breakout sophomore season at the plate. He paced the Tigers in average (.360), doubles (nine), triples (three), on-base percentage (.497), slugging percentage (.576) and stolen bases (13).
Misner quickly jumped onto the national scene with a 2017 Freshman All-America campaign. He finished with 12 doubles, seven home runs, 34 RBI and 17 stolen bases in a sensational first year at Mizzou. Misner's seven home runs were the most by a Tiger freshman since Trevor Coleman in 2007.
Over his two-year career thus far in Mid-Missouri, Misner is a career .311 hitter with 75 runs scored, 21 doubles, four triples, 11 home runs, 59 RBI, 30 stolen bases and .908 OPS.
