Mizzou and Vanderbilt will tip off at 7:30 p.m.
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The fourth-annual #RallyForRhyan Game will take place on Saturday, Feb. 2, as the Mizzou Men's Basketball team hosts Vanderbilt at 7:30 p.m. inside Mizzou Arena on SEC Network.
Named after Mizzou Athletics' staff member Brad Loos' eight-year old daughter, Rhyan, the #RallyForRhyan movement began in support of Rhyan's ongoing fight against pediatric cancer. Mizzou Men's Basketball has helped raise more than $170,000 in its first three #RallyForRhyan games, including some $72,000 during last year's game against Mississippi State, an 89-85 Tiger victory.
Tickets for this year's event are on sale now. The first 5,000 fans will receive a commemorative #RallyForRhyan gold rally towel. Surrounding the game are numerous other activities to generate funds going toward the #RallyForRhyan campaign to raise awareness and fund further pediatric cancer research. Cash donations will again be accepted on the concourse throughout the game. A 50/50 raffle and a silent auction is also planned.
Also serving as the team's annual Gold Rush Game, fans are encouraged to wear gold, and specially-designed gold #RallyForRhyan t-shirts will again be available exclusively through the Tiger Team Store & The Mizzou Store, with all proceeds donated toward pediatric cancer research. T-shirts ($15) are available in-person at either the stadium store or the campus location or on game day at Mizzou Arena, the campus bookstore or online here.
The Tigers, like last year, will wear #RallyForRhyan t-shirts during pre-game warm-ups and each shirt will have the name of a local child who is battling cancer on the back of the players' warm-up.
