COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Men's Basketball will hit the road for the seventh annual Big 12/SEC Challenge, as the Tigers will face West Virginia on Jan. 25, 2020, in Morgantown. All 10 matchups between the two leagues will be featured on Jan. 25. Television designations and tip times will be announced at a later date, but each game will air on the ESPN family of networks.
Mizzou is participating in the Big 12/SEC Challenge for the first time since falling at No. 22 Oklahoma during the 2014-15 campaign. The Tigers are 1-1 in the event, with the lone victory coming against West Virginia on March 5, 2013, at Mizzou Arena. Current Cleveland Cavalier Jordan Clarkson's 25-point outing led Mizzou to an 80-71 win over the Mountaineers.
The 2020 Big 12/SEC Challenge matchup will mark Mizzou's first trip to Morgantown in program history. Mizzou and West Virginia have faced off four times in their all-time series, with three of the four games coming on a neutral court.
The Tigers and Mountaineers square off the fourth time this decade and for the first time since 2017. Junior Jeremiah Tilmon, Jr., and senior Reed Nikko are the only remaining Tigers who appeared in that contest. Tilmon started and chipped in eight points and three rebounds in 20 minutes.
