
@MizzouTennis Gets Five Singles Win During Saturday Action at Big 5 Challenge

FORT WORTH, Texas - The Mizzou tennis team picked up five singles win during the third day of competition in the Big 5 Challenge at the Bayard H. Friedman Tennis Center in Fort Worth, Texas.
TOP TIGERS
Freshman Lisa Fukutoku (Tokyo, Japan) remained undefeated in the fall with a 6-2, 7-6 (2) win over Kansas State's Ines Mesquita. The freshman is now a perfect 4-0 in singles action this year, as she had two wins in last weekend's Mizzou Invite and is 2-0 at the Big 5 Challenge.
Also earning their fourth wins of the fall season were junior Mackenzy Middlebrooks (Fort Lauderdale, Florida) and freshman Vivien Ábrahám (Budapest, Hungary), both of whom came after dropping their first sets. Middlebrooks posted a 4-6, 6-3, 1-0 (16-14) win over Kansas State's Margot Decker, and Abraham defeated Maria Ponomareva of Kansas State, 5-7, 6-2, 1-0 (10-7).
Junior Serena Nash recorded a 7-6 (3), 6-3 victory over Maria Linares of Kansas State.
