BOULDER, Colo. – @MizzouSoccer (1-1-1) suffered its first defeat of the young 2018 season, losing at Colorado (2-0-1), 6-0. Tatum Barton of Colorado registered a hat trick on the day, as the Tigers allowed their first multi-goal game of the season.
The Tigers were shut out in the game, only registering five shots and one corner in the 90 minutes. The Buffs, meanwhile, had 16 shots and four corners in the game.
TURNING POINT
Colorado opened the scoring right away against the Tigers, scoring its first goal of the game just three minutes into the contest. The Buffs would strike again twice more within the next four minutes, picking up goals in the fifth minute and in the seventh minute.
Though the Tiger defense would shut the Buffs out for the remainder of the half, the damage was already done.
