Mizzou has exceeded a 3.50 team GPA in four consecutive Spring semesters and at least a 3.0 GPA in 14 of its past 15 Spring semesters.
During the Fall 2017 semester, Mizzou flourished with a team 3.53 GPA in the classroom. Altogether, the Tigers have exceeded a collective 3.50 GPA in seven consecutive semesters (Fall, Spring and Summer). Mizzou has traditionally opened its academic school year on a high note, as it has surpassed a 3.0 group GPA for seven consecutive years (2011-17).
Additionally, nine Tigers were named to the 2017 Fall SEC Academic Honor Roll in February and three student-athletes landed on the 2017-18 First-Year SEC Academic Honor Roll earlier this month.
In May, Mizzou Volleyball registered a perfect 1,000 Academic Progress Rate score. The Tigers have garnered the high-level recognition each of the past three school years, beginning with the 2014-15 academic semesters at the University of Missouri.
Mizzou is one of 164 Division I Women's Volleyball programs to receive the distinguished honor this year. The AVCA awarded 973 teams with this year's Team Academic Award, setting a new all-time record for the recognition. This year's total surpasses the previous record of 835 teams, which was established during the 2016-17 school year.
