Nineteen @MizzouSwimDive Tigers Claim CSCAA Scholar All-America Honors

COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving programs, as well as 19 individual student-athletes, earned academic honors from the College Swimming & Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA), the organization announced on Wednesday. Both Tiger teams claimed Scholar All-America recognition for achieving spring 2018 grade point averages of 3.0 or higher, while 12 individuals were named Individual Scholar All-Americans and an additional seven claimed honorable mention honors.
The women's program posted a spring team GPA of 3.38, while the men's squad earned a 3.00 to claim team recognition.
Individually, Sharli Brady, Kylie Dahlgren, Courtney Evensen, Kyle Goodwin, Carter Grimes, Daniel Hein, Kendra Kieser, Erin Metzger-Seymour, Annie Ochitwa, hannah Stevens, Jacob Wielinski and Kira Zubar earned Scholar All-America accolades. Honorable mention recipients include Anthony Ashley, Rachel Hayden, Aurore Jacolin, Sammie Jo Porter, Amanda Smith, Devan Sweeney and Samantha Wilts.
The individual selections recognize students who achieved a grade point average of 3.50 or higher and participated in their respective NCAA/NAIA/NJCAA Swimming and Diving Championships. Honorable mention awardees achieved a grade point average of 3.5 or higher and achieved a "B" time standard or competed at a zone qualifying meet.
