COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Football first year standouts RB Tyler Badie (Memphis, Tenn.) and TE Daniel Parker, Jr. (Blue Springs, Mo.) each earned a spot on the Southeastern Conference All-Freshman Team, announced Thursday by the league office. The team was selected by the league's 14 head coaches. Third-year Mizzou head coach Barry Odom and his staff have now produced nine SEC All-Freshman team honorees.

Badie enjoyed a breakout true freshman season as an all-purpose back as he rushed for 407 yards on just 80 carries (5.1 avg.) with two scores while adding 11 catches for 125 yards (11.4 avg.). He was part of a three-headed running back attack that finished the year with 2,128 rushing yards, the SEC's second-most of any running back trio, trailing only Georgia's De'Andre Swift, Elijah Holyfield and James Cook (2,142), He also posted nine kick returns on the year, amassing 203 yards for a team-high 22.6 yards-per-return average on the year.

Parker became one of the team's best stories throughout his true freshman campaign, converting from DE to TE during training camp and evolving into one the SEC's top freshmen. He caught six passes for 63 yards and a touchdown on the year while developing into a tremendous blocking TE in the run game. He was named SEC Freshman of the Week following a standout performance against Vanderbilt (11/10), which included his first career TD grab.
