COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Chicago Bandits have signed volunteer assistant coach Emily Crane to a one-year extension, the team announced Sunday morning.
Crane, in her second season with the Bandits at right fielder, amassed a .328 batting average across 36 games. Crane also chipped in eight stolen bases, placing her within the top-five overall in the league during the 2018 season.
Crane made her presence felt just two games into the 2018 season when she delivered a pair of triples and drove in three runs in a June 1 tilt against the Cleveland Comets. Her effort aided the Bandits in blanking the Comets 10-0 at Parkway Bank Sports Complex.
After a historic career as a Tiger in which she garnered first team All-American honors as a senior, Crane became the seventh overall pick in the 2016 NPF Draft. An offseason trade landed her in Chicago prior to the start of the 2017 season. The acquisition proved beneficial for the Bandits, as Crane led the team with six home runs during the 2017 campaign.
Crane was announced as Mizzou's volunteer coach for the 2019 campaign August 1.
