Both players earned spots on the Third Team
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Soccer landed two players on the United Soccer Coaches NCAA Division I Women's Scholar All-North/Central Region Team, the organization announced Monday, December 10. Junior forward Sarah Luebbert and senior goalkeeper Kelsey Dossey continue to add to their 2018 postseason accolades, each earning a spot on the Third Team.
For Luebbert, this is her third postseason honor so far, as she was named First-Team All-SEC before the SEC Tournament while also earning a spot on the United Soccer Coaches Third Team All-Southeast Region on November 27. Luebbert was again excellent for the Black & Gold, tallying 11 points on four goals and three assists this season while also playing a larger role in both team leadership and on defense. She is currently majoring in mathematics and has maintained a stellar 3.7 GPA.
This is the second postseason honor for Dossey, who is, by the numbers, arguably the most decorated goalkeeper in Mizzou Soccer history. Dossey registered career highs in both saves (77) and fewest goals allowed (20) during the 2018 season, both of which are the 10th best single-season marks in program history. Following her stellar senior season, Dossey's name is now etched all over Mizzou Soccer's record book. The senior finds herself in the top-five in the following statistical categories: wins (fifth - 24); shutouts (fourth - 11); appearances (second - 61), starts (T-Second- 55) and saves (fourth - 200). Dossey is set to graduate this coming Saturday (Dec. 15), earning her Bachelor's Degree in Psychology with a 3.31 GPA.
