COLUMBIA, Mo. - Junior Mackenzy Middlebrooks (Fort Lauderdale, Fla.) and sophomore Ellie Wright (Gainesville, Fla.) of the Mizzou tennis program earned an at-large doubles selection to the 2018 Oracle ITA National Fall Championships. The event runs Wednesday, Nov. 7 through Sunday, Nov. 11 at the Surprise Tennis & Racquet Complex in Surprise, Ariz.

The Tiger duo kicks off action at the Championships on Wednesday with first round action. 

Middlebrooks and Wright are one of 32 doubles teams set to compete at the Championships and were one of nine at-large selections chosen by the National Tournament Committee. The pair advanced to the championship final of the ITA Central Region Championships last month and are 9-2 overall on the fall season and have a 27-8 career record together. 

They are only the second doubles team to ever qualify for the ITA National Fall Championships, which replaced the ITA National Indoor Intercollegiate Championships last season, as former Tigers Urska Juric and Katka Sevcikova earned selections in 2001 and 2002.
