COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou tennis has added transfer Gabrielle Goldin (Bradenton, Florida) to its program, Head Coach Colt Gaston announced on Thursday. Goldin will join the Tigers as a junior for the 2018-19 season after competing at Florida State the last two years.

"We are very excited about Gabby joining our program," Gaston said. "She is a great person who works extremely hard on and off the court. I feel that Gabby will have an impact on our team right away and help build on the culture we have created here at Mizzou. Her aggressive game style and fighting spirit is something I believe will be instrumental in her development this fall and we are excited to get started with her soon."

Goldin went 9-6 combined in fall and spring action as a sophomore for the Seminoles last season. She posted a 3-2 record in the spring, with all three wins coming in dual matches.

In the fall, Goldin earned a 6-4 mark and recorded singles wins over players from Ole Miss and Wake Forest, and went 2-1 at the Bedford Cup. She also advanced to the quarterfinals in the ITA Southeast regional singles bracket. In doubles, Goldin posted a 7-5 overall, with a 3-1 spring mark and a 2-0 record in dual action.

She joined the Seminoles in January 2017 and went 2-2 in dual action. On Feb. 26, Goldin picked up a 6-0 doubles victory in a match against No. 11 Georgia Tech.

A native of Bradenton, Florida, Goldin was a top 100 recruit by tennisrecruiting.net out of high school. She went undefeated in her high school career in regular season action for Bradenton Christian School. Goldin claimed the Tennis Recruiting National Showcase Tournament Series Girls 16s singles title and the North Georgia Junior Open doubles crown. Additionally, she was a finalist for the USTA Level 3 Nationals Girls 18s and Oracle ITA Junior Masters Florida Regional, as well as the third-place finisher in the USTA National Open 18s doubles competition.
