COLUMBIA, Mo. – Sharli Brady of the Mizzou women's swimming and diving team earned a spot on the 2017-18 Google Cloud Academic All-District® 6 Women's At-Large Team, selected by CoSIDA, the organization announced on Thursday.
Brady now advances to the Google Cloud Academic All-America® Team ballot, where first, second and third team All-America honorees will be announced in June.
A three-time College Swimming Coaches Association of America Scholar All-American, Brady earned her bachelor's degree in communication sciences and disorders last weekend. She concluded her career as the most decorated Mizzou women's individual All-American in program history, with eight individual accolades. In total, Brady earned 10 All-America honors, including two-time All-America first team honors in the 400 IM. This past season, she finished sixth in the 400 IM at the NCAA Championships.
Brady is Missouri's record holder in the 200 fly, 200 IM and 400 fly, all three of which she reset numerous times during her career. She also won the 2017 U.S. Open 400 IM national title.
Out of the pool, Brady is a three-time SEC Winter Academic Honor Roll recipient and a member of Mizzou's Tiger Leadership Institute and the Student-Athlete Advisory Committee. She also spent time as a student clinician working with an English Language Learner from China and two children with delayed speech.
