RALEIGH, N.C. – Mizzou Men's Golf is in ninth place, but only six strokes back of fifth place after 36 holes of the NCAA Raleigh Regional. The top five teams advance to the NCAA National Championships.
Head coach Mark Leroux's squad shot a 1-under 283 on Tuesday and is now 5-under for the tournament at the Par-71 Lonnie Poole Golf Course in Raleigh, North Carolina. Mizzou has one final round of 18 holes on Wednesday to move up the leaderboard.
Senior Hayden Buckley fired a second consecutive 2-under par round. He is tied for 11th place ahead of 10 ranked individuals. Buckley is just eight strokes off the lead heading into the final day of the NCAA Regional. He now has 17 sub-70 rounds this season.
Freshman Jamie Stewart carded a 1-over 72 on Tuesday after a stellar 68 on Monday. Stewart is tied for 22 individually at -2 for the tournament.
Senior Trevor Ullestad tallied a team-high seven birdies Tuesday and shot a 1-under 70. At even-par for the tournament, he is tied for 33rd. Sophomore Rory Franssen is tied for 42nd place at 1-over through two rounds.
