Following competition in Sacramento, the Bowerman semifinalist will head south to Los Angeles and attend the Collegiate Women Sports Awards Honda Cup ceremony on Monday, June 26. In a breakout sophomore campaign, Jacobs captured the SEC discus title and earned All-America status in the discus after finishing fifth at the NCAA Championships.
In the junior circuit, Ward will defend his USATF Junior Championship title in the long jump after posting a mark of 25-8.75 in 2016. In his first season in the Black & Gold, Ward captured the outdoor SEC long jump title and was named the SEC Outdoor Track & Field Freshman Field Athlete of the Year. In her freshman campaign, Stauffer saved her best shot put throw for last, posting a mark of 15.25m (50-0.5) at the NCAA West Preliminary.
