
@MizzouBaseball Will Play Missouri State at Busch Stadium April 3

Tickets on sale now as in-state rivals square off at one of Major League Baseball’s premier venues
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Baseball and Missouri State Baseball have teamed with Major League Baseball's St. Louis Cardinals to bring one of college baseball's top rivalries to Busch Stadium during the 2018 season. Mizzou and Missouri State will square off at Busch April 3 at 6:30 p.m., the first of three games between the in-state rivals next season. Tickets are on sale now and can be purchased at Cardinals.com/collegebaseball.
"I want to thank the St. Louis Cardinals for hosting us and Missouri State to kickoff game one of our three-game set against Missouri State in 2018," Mizzou head coach Steve Bieser said. "Julia Row and Courtney Kincade have been wonderful in pulling all this together. It is quite a treat for our players to get an opportunity to play in a big league stadium."
Mizzou makes its return to Busch Stadium for the first time since April 23, 2014, when the Tigers topped rival Illinois, 5-2. In all, Mizzou is 4-1 inside the new Busch Stadium, which opened in 2006. Mizzou defeated SLU, 19-6, in 2009 and Illinois in both 2010 and 2012. Illinois claimed the 2013 meeting at Busch, and the Tigers won the last game they played there in 2014.
Missouri State took last year's series with Mizzou, winning both games in the annual home-and-home affair. The 2018 season will mark the first time that the teams will play a third game in the series at a neutral site. The Tigers will also Bears will also play April 10 in Springfield and April 24 in Columbia.
