
Clark, Luebbert Earn All-SEC Honors

BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Senior Kaitlyn Clark (Liberty, Mo.) and sophomore Sarah Luebbert (Jefferson City, Mo.) earned Southeastern Conference postseason honors in voting conducted by the league's coaches, the conference announced on Sunday. Both Clark and Luebbert claimed spots on the All-SEC Second Team, the second-consecutive season both made the second team.
In her senior season, Clark started all 18 games and has eight points on two goals and four assists, all of which came in SEC matches. She scored the game-winner in Mizzou's win over LSU in the regular season finale to clinch a berth in the SEC Tournament. She also added a goal against Texas A&M.
Clark has played in 78 games with 75 starts in her Tiger career and boasts career totals of eight goals and 19 assists for 35 points. Her 19 assists rank tied for 10th in the Mizzou record book.
Luebbert, the 2016 SEC Freshman of the Year, started all 18 regular season games at forward and leads the Tigers with 18 points on six goals and six assists in 2017. She ranks tied for fourth in both points (12) and goals (five) in conference-only matches. Luebbert netted two goals in Mizzou's contest against Tennessee, and added tallies against Alabama, Kentucky, Vanderbilt and Iowa State. Her six assists are a career-high and
The sophomore has 42 career points on 16 goals and 10 assists in 37 starts. Last year as a freshman, Luebbert totaled 10 goals and four assists for 24 points, the most for a Mizzou freshman since 2009.
Missouri opens play at the 2017 SEC Tournament with a first-round matchup against Alabama on Sunday, Oct. 29 at 1 p.m. in Orange Beach, Alabama.
