
No. 15/13 @MizzouSwimDive Claims Dual Wins Over Missouri State

COLUMBIA, Mo. – The No. 15/13 Mizzou men's and women's swimming and diving teams made it two sweeps in as many days as the Tigers earned dual meet wins over Missouri State on Saturday afternoon at the Mizzou Aquatic Center. The men's team notched a 177-109 win over the Bears, while the women's program was victorious 182-97.
Six different Tigers earned double wins on the day, including a Mizzou sweep in the diving well. Redshirt senior Lauren Reedy (Rochester Hills, Michigan) took home the women's 1-meter (331.28) and 3-meter (360.00) crowns, while sophomore Kyle Goodwin (Aurora, Colorado) earns wins on men's 1-meter (personal best 377.10) and 3-meter (395.33).
Seniors Michael Chadwick (Charlotte, North Caorlina) and Andrew Sansoucie (Wentzville, Missouri) each claimed a pair of wins in the pool, with Chadwick earning the 100 free (43.26) and 100 breast (54.50) titles, and Sansoucie won the 100 fly (46.86) and tied sophomore Luke Mankus (Keller, Texas) for the 50 free (20.63) victory.
Also double winners were juniors Erin Metzger-Seymour (Westminster, Colorado) and Hannah Stevens (Lexington, Ohio). Seymour earned top honors in both the 200 free (1:50.59) and 100 fly (55.06), while Stevens claimed wins in the 50 free (23.83) and 200 back (1:58.81).
Missouri opened the meet with first-place finishes in both the men's and women's 200 medley relays. The Tiger men's A team of senior Carter Griffin (Parker, Colorado), senior Fabian Schwingenschlogl (Nuremberg, Germany), Sansoucie and Chadwick touched first in 1:28.30, while the women's foursome of senior Nadine Laemmler (Wackersdorf, Germany), senior Katharine Ross (Des Moines, Iowa), sophomore Maddie Gehrke (Clive, Iowa) and senior Victoria Trost (Johnston, Iowa) won in 1:43.16.
Other Tiger winners on the day included Griffin in the men's 200 back, freshman Daniel Hein (Sycamore, Illinois) in the men's 100 back, freshman Giovanny Lima (Sao Paulo, Brazil) in the 200 free, Ross in the women's 100 breast, junior Kira Zubar (Chaska, Minnesota) in the 1000 free, sophomore Courtney Evensen (Golden Valley, Minnesota) in the 500 free, freshman Azra Avdic (Skokie, Illinois) in the 200 fly and freshman Haley Hynes (Lee's Summit, Missouri) in the 100 back.
Additionally, junior Sharli Brady (Burlington, Kentucky) and freshman Nick Alexander (Crestwood, Missouri) notched top times in the 400 IM races but swam in exhibition.
The Tiger swimmers return to the pool for the two-day Tiger Invite, Friday, Jan. 27-Saturday, Jan. 28, at the Mizzou Aquatic Center.
