COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Tennis senior Amina Ismail and freshman Marta Oliveira have captured a No. 32 national ranking in the Oracle/ITA National Preseason Doubles Rankings, announced Tuesday by Intercollegiate Tennis Association officials.

For one Tiger, it's business as usual, and for the other, it's an impressive arrival. Ismail (Maineville, Ohio) competed in last season's NCAA Doubles Tournament, along with recently graduated Bea Machado Santos, after spending much of the spring season ranked among the nation's top duos. Oliveira (Lisbon, Portugal) will be making her collegiate debut this weekend after coming to Mizzou as the No. 1-ranked U18 player in Portugal.

Ismail, Oliveira and the Tigers begin Head Coach Colt Gaston's second season this Friday, when the Tigers open the 2017-18 season with a weekend round-robin invitational at the University of Georgia. The Tigers were originally scheduled to compete in Puerto Rico at a Georgia-hosted tournament this weekend, however damage from Hurricane Irma forced the Bulldogs to move the event back home to Athens, Ga. Mizzou's players will have three days of singles and doubles competition against players from Clemson, Vanderbilt and host Georgia.
