COLUMBIA, Mo. - Six members of the Mizzou men's and women's diving teams will compete at the 2017 USA Diving National Championships this week in Columbia, Ohio. The five-day meet, which runs Aug. 8-12, will take place at The Bill and Mae McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the campus of Ohio State.
Representing the Tigers at the event are seniors Alexa Beckwith, Kendra Kieser and Madeline McKernan, junior Payton Conrad, sophomore William Gottsch and incoming freshman Peter Lucido. Kieser will compete on both the women's 1-meter and 3-meter springboards, while Beckwith and McKernan will just go on 1-meter. Conrad is slated to go on women's platform, Gottsch will dive in the men's 3-meter competition, and Lucido on 1-meter.
Senior action kicks off on Tuesday with the women's 1-meter semifinal and final. The men's 3-meter and women's platform quarterfinals and semifinals are slated for Wednesday and the women's 3-meter quarterfinals and semifinals scheduled for Thursday. The men's 3-meter and women's platform finals are on Friday evening, while the women's 3-meter final is on Saturday morning.
