@MUWomensGolf Hendrickson & Young Named 2017 WGCA All-American Scholars

Mizzou Women's Golf junior Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.) and senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) were named 2017 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, announced Wednesday (July 5) by the organization's office.

CORAL SPRINGS, Fla. – Mizzou Women's Golf junior Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.) and senior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) were named 2017 Women's Golf Coaches Association All-American Scholars, announced Wednesday (July 5) by the organization's office.

Young has now earned three consecutive WGCA All-American Scholar recognitions, while Hendrickson tallied her first career honor. A total of 952 women's collegiate golfers were named to this year's list. For the complete 2017 WGCA All-American Scholars lineup, visit WGCAGolf.com.

"It's a fantastic honor for Cayce and Clara to receive this academic achievement in our sport," Mizzou Women's Golf head coach Stephanie Priesmeyer said. "We have one of the toughest criteria to earn this type of honor in collegiate athletics. It's certainly a testament to their dedication, discipline and work ethic that makes this possible."

WGCA All-American Scholars must record a minimum cumulative GPA of 3.50, while participating in at least 60-percent of their team's tournaments.
