@MIZ_TrackField’s Thomas and Stephen Named to SEC Community Service Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field sophomore Hannah Thomas (Urbandale, Iowa) and redshirt sophomore Taylor Stephen (Nixa, Mo.) were named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, announced by the conference office on Thursday. In addition to full class schedules, Thomas and Stephen were able to lead their team in hours devoted back to the Columbia community throughout the 2016-17 academic year.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Track & Field sophomore Hannah Thomas (Urbandale, Iowa) and redshirt sophomore Taylor Stephen (Nixa, Mo.) were named to the Southeastern Conference Community Service Team, announced by the conference office on Thursday. In addition to full class schedules, Thomas and Stephen were able to lead their team in hours devoted back to the Columbia community throughout the 2016-17 academic year.

Thomas was the clear leader in service hours for the women's team, accumulating 45 hours. Thomas volunteered at numerous locations around Columbia, including the Women's & Children's Hospital, Tiger Place Retirement and VA Hospital. The Tiger sophomore also devoted her time to the Susan G Komen and the Food Bank.

Stephen led the men's team in service hours, attending the Susan G Komen Race and Mizzou Moves, while also committing time to the Special Olympics on National Student Athlete Day and the Food Bank.
