COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball continued its strong track record of academic excellence during the Fall 2016 semester, posting a 3.55 cumulative GPA. The Tigers' impressive performance in the classroom marks their fourth consecutive semester with a collective GPA of 3.50 or higher.
From Aug. 2016 – Dec. 2016, an outstanding 14 individual Tigers tallied a 3.20 GPA or higher. Four individuals turned in a perfect effort in the classroom this past semester, finishing with a 4.00 GPA.

Since 2004, Mizzou has continually recorded strong performances in the opening semester of its respective academic calendar year. In fact, the Tigers have totaled 10 Fall semesters with a 3.00 or higher GPA, including six consecutive efforts in the classroom (2011-present).
Mizzou's successful start to the 2016-17 academic year is no surprise, as it also excelled throughout the 2015-16 semesters. Last year, the Tigers earned their third consecutive American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Team Academic Award. Additionally, Mizzou produced a 3.57 GPA over the Spring 2016 semester and a 3.55 GPA over the Fall 2015 semester.
The Tigers were one of 131 total NCAA Division I programs to be honored by the AVCA for their exceptional academic success.
Mizzou's 3.57 GPA to conclude the 2015-16 academic year marked the highest GPA in program history. Furthermore, it established itself as the highest team GPA among the 18 intercollegiate athletics programs on Mizzou's campus last year.
Historically, the Tigers have enjoyed superior academic success over the past decade. Since 2004, Mizzou has exceeded a 3.00 cumulative GPA in 22-of-26 combined Fall and Spring semesters.
