2013 All-American has continued success following Tiger career
COLUMBIA, Mo. – Former Mizzou Volleyball All-American, Whitney Little, has continued her success on the court following her outstanding Tiger career. In June 2015, Little joined the Dresdner Sports Club (DSC) German professional volleyball team.
Little and the DSC Volleyball team recently claimed the 2016 German League Championship on May 2. It marked the second championship this season for Little and DSC, as they also claimed top honors at the 2016 Pokal Tournament.
"It's outstanding to see Mizzou Volleyball alumni like Whitney continuing to compete at the highest level following their career in Columbia," head coach Wayne Kreklow said. "We know Whitney is having an experience of a lifetime over in Germany and we hope she continues to rack up the titles with DSC!"
Little enjoyed a memorable career in Mizzou black and gold from 2011-14. She is one of 11 individuals to claim All-American honors in Mizzou Volleyball history. The Keller, Texas, native broke out in her 2013 All-American campaign, tallying 264 kills on .463 hitting with 139 total blocks and 354.5 points.
"I want to let all the Tiger fans know that this has been a very humbling experience," Little said. "Germany has been wonderful and I know I couldn't have gotten here without the experiences I had at Mizzou!"
