Why Mercedes chose Mizzou:
"I chose Missouri because when I stepped on campus, I immediately felt comfortable, I felt like I belonged there. I wanted to be a part of a program that is in a competitive division and is dedicated to hard work, and I found that at Mizzou. Also, I was looking for a school with a rich football history and tradition."
Goalkeeper coach Chris Barocas on Mercedes:
"Mercedes' best soccer is ahead of her. She has put in a good body of work since I started at Orlando City and I feel with the guidance from staff in place at Mizzou she will continue to grow and achieve both on and off the field. She is an extremely gifted athlete and when challenged she will respond in big ways. She was a rock this past fall for our 18 ECNL team and played consistently at a very high level."
