
Five Tigers to Compete at USA Diving Winter Nationals

COLUMBIA, Mo. - Five members of the Mizzou diving team will compete at the 2016 USA Diving Winter National Championships this week in Columbus, Ohio. The five-day meet, which runs Dec. 15-21, will take place at the McCorkle Aquatic Pavilion on the Campus of The Ohio State University.
The Tigers will be represented by redshirt senior Lauren Reedy, juniors Alexa Beckwith, Kendra Kieser and Madeline McKernan and sophomore Kyle Goodwin.
The divers are invited based on previous marks and this competition is used to qualify for the 2017 World Championships (1-meter only), 2017 World University Games, 2017 FINA International Grant Prix meets and 2017 High Performance Squads.
Reedy will dive in both the women's 1-meter and 3-meter competitions, while also teaming with Goodwin on the mixed synchronized 3-meter. Beckwith, Kieser and McKernan will also compete on women's 3-meter. Reedy will go in the 1-meter prelims on Thursday, Dec. 15, with the top eight finishers advancing to Saturday's finals. Women's 3-meter prelims are scheduled for Monday, Dec. 19 and the finals on Wednesday, Dec. 21. The mixed synchro 3-meter will be contested on Wednesday, Dec. 21 as well.
Following Winter Nationals, the Tigers are back in action Jan. 1-3 at the Tennessee Diving Invite in Knoxville, Tenn.
