
Chadwick Named to 2016 U.S. FINA World Championship Team

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Senior Michael Chadwick (Charlotte, N.C.) of the Mizzou men's swimming and diving team will represent the United States at the 2016 FINA World Championships (25m), USA Swimming announced on Thursday. Additionally, Tiger assistant coach Mark Gangloff will serve as an assistant on the U.S. men's staff.
The six-day meet will be held Dec. 6-11 at the WFCU Centre in Windsor, Canada. Chadwick is slated to swim the 50 and 100 free events at the Championships.
A native of Charlotte, N.C., Chadwick stands as the most decorated Tiger in program history with a total of six first team and nine honorable mention All-America honors in his career. He placed fourth in the 50 free and sixth in the 100 free at the 2016 NCAA Championships, as well as taking fifth in the 100 free at the Championships in 2015. Chadwick owns Mizzou's 50 free (19.04), 100 free (41.89) and 200 free (1:33.64) school records. He is also a member of the 2016-17 USA Swimming National Team after a top-six finish in the 50 free at the 2016 U.S. Olympic Team Trials.
