  • With the win, Mizzou leads the all-time series with Northwestern State, 3-0. The Tigers last beat the Demons, 90-56 on Dec. 2, 2011 in Columbia, Mo.
  • Sophomore guard K.J. Walton paced the Tigers for the second game in a row with 19 points.
  • The 19-point output for Walton is the first time in his career he has had back-to-back games of 10 or more points and the highest two-game scoring output of his career, surpassing the 18 points he scored at LSU (11, March 5, 2016) and vs. Florida (7, March 5, 2016) last year.
  • Walton matched his career-high for field goals made in a game with six and set a season-high in free throws made with seven.
  • Walton was active on the defensive end, as well, grabbing four steals, a career high. Walton previously had three steals in two different games, once last game vs. Tulane (Nov. 20).
  • After matching a career-high with 10 rebounds against Tulane (Nov. 20), senior forward Russell Woods grabbed five rebounds in the game for the second time in his career he has had back-to-back games of five rebounds or more. Woods grabbed 10 rebounds against Illinois (Dec. 23, 2015) and 10 rebounds against Arkansas Pine-Bluff (Dec. 29, 2015) last year.
  • Sophomore forward Kevin Puryear scored 11 points in the game, the fourth time this season he has scored in double-digits. In 36 career games, Puryear has scored 10 or more points in 25 contests.
  • Freshman guard Terrence Phillips dished a career-high eight assists in the game, surpassing his previous high of seven which he recorded three times. Phillips has totaled five or more assists in four games this season and 12 times in his career.
  • As a team, Mizzou had 19 assists in the game, a season-high and the most since Mizzou had 19 assists against Arkansas Pine-Bluff on Dec. 29, 2015.
  • Freshman guard Frankie Hughes scored 11 points in the game - the fourth time in five games this season the freshman has scored in double-digits.
  • Freshman forward Willie Jackson scored 11 points in the game - matching his season-high output set in the season opener against Alabama A&M (Nov. 13).
  • Sophomore guard Cullen VanLeer grabbed five rebounds in the contest, two more than his previous high of three set four times last season.
