COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou sophomore forward Cierra Porter (Columbia, Mo.) was one of six players named to the Preseason WNIT All-Tournament Team, it was announced Sunday. Porter posted a pair of double-doubles and averaged 12.0 points and 8.3 rebounds per game as she led Mizzou to the semifinals and a 2-1 mark in the tournament.

Porter scored in double figures in all three Preseason WNIT contests and led the Tigers in rebounding in their two victories. The sophomore launched Mizzou's 2016-17 season with a dominant performance against Abilene Christian. She tallied 10 points, a career-high 12 rebounds and a career-high four blocked shots, securing her second career double-double and steering Mizzou to a 52-46 win.

Three days later, Mizzou traveled to Nebraska and Porter manufactured her second consecutive double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds. Porter's effort allowed Mizzou to outrebound the Huskers, 49-39, on its way to a commanding 55-35 road victory.

Porter continued to shine in Mizzou's semifinal loss to No. 17 Washington. She led the Tigers with 16 points behind a 6-for-13 effort from the field. Through three games, Porter is shooting 50 percent from the floor. She is one of just four Southeastern Conference players with multiple double-doubles so far this season and ranks seventh in the league in rebounds per contest.

Porter and the Tigers now turn to a home game on Tuesday. Mizzou hosts Indiana State at 7 p.m. on SEC Network Plus before heading to the Bahamas to compete in the Junkanoo Jam on Friday and Saturday.
