@MUWomensGolf Travel to Texas for Jim West Challenge

Mizzou Women's Golf will travel this weekend to The Woodlands, Texas, to compete in the 2016 Jim West Challenge. The tournament is set for Oct. 9-10 and is hosted by Texas State at The Club at Carlton Woods on Fazio Course.

COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Women's Golf will travel this weekend to The Woodlands, Texas, to compete in the 2016 Jim West Challenge. The tournament is set for Oct. 9-10 and is hosted by Texas State at The Club at Carlton Woods on Fazio Course.

The Jim West Challenge begins on Sunday, Oct. 9, at 8:30 a.m. (CT) with a shotgun start and 36 holes of continuous play. Action concludes on Monday, Oct. 10, at 9:30 a.m. (CT) with the third round of shotgun play.

The Tigers will be one of 15 teams competing at this weekend's tournament. Also in the tournament field will be Florida State, Houston, Jacksonville, Kent State, Miami (Fla.), North Texas, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, TCU, Texas, Texas A&M, Texas State, Texas Tech and Texas-San Antonio.

Head Coach Stephanie Priesmeyer brings sophomore Emma Allen (Southampton, England), senior Jessica Meek (Carnoustie, Scotland), sophomore Cayce Hendrickson (Benton, Ky.), freshman Jessica Yuen (Bolingbrook, Ill.) and junior Clara Young (North Berwick, Scotland) to the Tigers' third tournament of the 2016 campaign.

The Tigers head into this weekend following their third consecutive crown at the Johnie Imes Invitational (Oct. 3-4). Five Tigers placed Top 20 in the individual rankings at The Club at Old Hawthorne, highlighted by Allen's T-6th finish. Her 6-under (66) tied the lowest all-time individual first round score in Johnie Imes history.
