COLUMBIA, Mo. - Three members of the Mizzou soccer program were named to TopDrawerSoccer.com's Midseason Top 100 Freshmen and Upperclassmen lists. Senior Melanie Donaldson was named to the Upperclassmen list and freshmen Anna Frick and Sarah Luebbert earned spots on the Freshman list.
Donaldson clocked in a No. 54 on TopDrawerSoccer.com's Upperclassmen Top 100, up 13 spots from her preseason ranking. A defensive midfielder, Donaldson has started all 14 games in 2016 and played every minute of five of those contests. She has two goals on the season, including the game-winner in overtime to defeat Illinois in August. Donaldson garnered All-SEC second team honors as a junior in 2015. Over her career,she has seen action in all 75 games, earned 72 starts and has 21 career points on eight goals and five assists.
Frick and Luebbert rank No. 57 and No. 79, respectively.
Frick has played and started 13 games at the center of the Mizzou defense and ranks second among field players with 1,185 minutes played this season. She has helped the Tiger defense post three shutouts and rank second in the SEC in goals against average (0.69) in conference matches.
A forward, Luebbert leads the Tigers with 17 points on a team-high seven goals and three assists. She has twice been named the SEC Freshman of the Week and ranks seventh in the SEC in both points per game (1.42) and goals per game (0.58). Luebbert's seven goals and 17 points also rank seventh on Mizzou's all-time freshman goals and points lists.
The Tigers return to action on Friday, Oct. 14 when the team hosts Vanderbilt at 6:30 p.m. at Walton Stadium.
