COLUMBIA, Mo. – Mizzou Volleyball is less than a month away from beginning its 2016 campaign. Up until the season opener on Aug. 26, Mizzou Athletics will preview the season's matchups.
In the second tournament of the season, the Tigers will host the 21st annual Tiger Invitational at the Hearnes Center. From Sept. 2-3, Mizzou will compete against Utah, Miami (Ohio) and Rice. At last year's Tiger Invitational, Mizzou compiled a perfect 3-0 record, including consecutive 3-0 sweeps on the final day of action.
Senior Carly Kan, redshirt junior Kira Larson and sophomore Alyssa Munlyn were outstanding at last year's invite, earning 2015 All-Tournament Team recognition. Kan earned MVP honors, as she tallied 50 kills on .430 hitting with 31 digs.
