COLUMBIA, Mo. - All 15 members of the 2016 Mizzou Volleyball squad were on hand Thursday (Aug. 11) evening at the Columbia Elementary School Open Houses. Each year, all of the Mid-Missouri elementary schools give kids and their families a chance to meet their teachers and classmates for the first time. 

A total of 15 elementary schools across the Columbia community hosted their respective open houses Thursday night. The group of Tigers were split up across the area and set up a table at each of the schools to help promote the upcoming 2016 Mizzou Volleyball campaign.

Families were able to meet the players, take home a 2016 Mizzou Volleyball poster and sign up for future events this season.

"I attended the Meet the Teacher Night with my granddaughter last night at Battle Elementary," Valera Pabst said. "Emily Thater was there representing Mizzou Volleyball's team. I'm so impressed with everything the volleyball team, coaches and staff do to make their presence known in the community. Their camps and everything they offer. All of them should be so proud. Thank you!"
