  • Senior OF Emily Crane extended her hitting streak to three games with a single in the bottom of the first inning.
  • Crane stole second base in the first inning for her 23rd steal of the season in 25 attempts. (92 percent).
  • The stolen base was the 81st of Crane's career, tying her with Kris Schmidt (85-88) for fifth in program history.
  • Freshman OF Regan Nash hit the second double of her career in the bottom of the second inning.
  • Freshman 2B Kolby Romaine hit her first career double in the bottom of the second inning, driving in Crane. The hit was Romaine's 11th RBI of the year in just 15 starts.
  • Senior SS Sami Fagan earned her 51st RBI of the year with a bases loaded walk in the bottom of the second.
  • Sophomore 3B Amanda Sanchez hit a grand slam in the bottom of the second inning. Mizzou's third grand slam of the year.
  • Sanchez went 2-2 with a homerun and five RBI. The game was her 20th multi-hit and 10th multi-RBI game of the year.
  • Sanchez tied her career high with five RBI tonight against BYU. She previously drove in five against Northern Iowa (4/29/15).
  • Nash hit an infield single in the bottom of the third inning for her 12th multi-hit game of the season.
  • Senior OF Taylor Gadbois drove in her 18th RBI of the season on a single in the bottom of the third inning.
  • Gadbois now has 21 multi-hit games this year, tied for the team lead with Fagan.
  • Crane drove in Romaine with a single in the bottom of the third inning, giving Crane 56 RBI this year, tied for 8th most by any Tiger in a single season.
  • Crane's single gave her her 20th multi-hit game of the season.
  • Sophomore LHP Paige Lowary retired nine straight batters after allowing a single in the first at bat of the game.
  • Lowary has pitched 24 of 26 innings without giving up a run in her last three starts.
  • This was Lowary's first victory in an NCAA Tournament game. She is now 1-2 in three career NCAA Tournament starts.
  • This was Mizzou's seventh run rule victory of the season.

BYU Game Notes:

  • Senior OF Gordy Bravo singled in the top of the first. She has now hit safely in 12 of her last 14 games.
  • Bravo's single was the 235th hit of her career, the sixth most in program history.
  • Junior RHP Mckenna Bull struck out four batters in the game tonight, improving her season total to 280, the 7th most in the country.
  • Junior SS Lauren Bell extended her on-base streak to four games with a walk in the top of the fourth inning.
  • Freshman C Libby Srug extended her on-base streak to seven games with a walk in the top of the fourth inning.
  • Tonight is just second time this season that BYU has lost a game due to the run rule.
