  • Sophomore C Madi Unzicker hit the fifth homerun of her career in the second inning, driving in sophomore OF Austen Urness. Unzicker drove in RBI's 13 and 14 with the shot to left field.
  • Urness scored her 10th run of the season on the second inning home run by Unzicker.
  • Emily Lockman retired seven straight following the two-run single in the top of the third. All seven of the outs came via groundout.
  • Senior OF Kiki Stokes finished the night going 2-3 giving her 231 career hits, sixth most in school history.
  • Laura Barrow continues to be hot in NCAA Tournament games. She went 2-3 in this game and is now 6-11 in her four career tournament games.
  • Senior 3B M.J. Knighten hit a walk-off single in the bottom of the seventh, driving in Taylor Otte.
  • The RBI was Knighten's 60th of the season, tying her season high from the previous year. 60 RBI is fourth most by any player in program history for a single season.
  • Knighten now has 158 career RBI for Nebraska, tied for fifth most in program history.
  • Nebraska finished with three runs, giving them 319 this season, fifth most in program history.

Louisville Game Notes:

  • Sophomore SS Sidney Melton extended her hitting streak to four games with a single in the first inning.
  • Senior 3B Hailey Smith grounded into a double play to end the first inning. It was the first gdp of the season for Smith.
  • Junior P Maryssa Becker extended her reached base streak to 17 games with an intentional walk in the top of the third inning.
  • Smith hit a two-RBI single up the middle in the top of the third inning to tie the game at two. She now has 18 RBI this season. Her single scored Melton and junior RF Morgan Meyer.
  • Smith's two RBI marks her sixth multi-RBI game of the season and fifth game with two RBI.
  • Melton scored her team leading 43rd run of the season on the hit by Smith. Melton is two runs away from being tied for 9th most runs in school history for a single season.
  • Becker finished the day going 2-2 for her team leading 16th multi-hit game of the season.
