#15 @MizzouSoftball Set For Wednesday Doubleheader at SLU

No. XX Mizzou Softball (24-6, 3-3 SEC) travels to Saint Louis, Mo., on Wednesday, March 30, for a mid-week doubleheader against SLU. Game one between the Tigers and Billikens is set for 3 p.m. (CT). The second game is tentatively set for 5 p.m. (CT).

COLUMBIA, Mo. – No. 15 Mizzou Softball (24-6, 3-3 SEC) travels to Saint Louis, Mo., on Wednesday, March 30, for a mid-week doubleheader against SLU. Game one between the Tigers and Billikens is set for 3 p.m. (CT). The second game is tentatively set for 5 p.m. (CT).

The Tigers welcome No. 16 Tennessee to University Field from April 1-3, followed by a three-game series with No. 9 Georgia from April 8-10. Mizzou finishes its long stretch in Mid-Missouri with a doubleheader on Wednesday, April 13, against Wichita State.

MIZZOU MOVES TO NO. 7 IN NCAA RPI RANKINGS

  • After an impressive 4-1 week (March 21-27), including their third Top 25 win of the season, the Tigers moved up three spots to No. 7 in the country in the latest NCAA RPI rankings.
  • Mizzou is one of 10 Southeastern Conference teams slotted in the latest NCAA RPI Top 25 rankings. The Tigers' No. 7 RPI spot trails only conference foe Florida's No. 2 ranking.
  • The Tigers' upcoming home SEC matchups against Tennessee and Georgia will serve as big challenges, as the Volunteers check in at No. 19 while the Bulldogs sit with the No. 18 slot.

TIGERS' OFFENSE ENTERS THE WEEK RANKED AMONG NATION'S BEST

As of Monday, March 28, Mizzou's outstanding offensive numbers continue to impress. A snapshot of its rankings can be found below:

  • .350 team average (2nd in the SEC and Top 10 in the NCAA).
  • 1.37 home runs per game (3rd in the SEC and Top 10 in the NCAA).
  • .439 OBP (7th in the SEC and Top 15 in the NCAA).
  • 7.73 runs scored per game (2nd in the SEC and Top 10 in the NCAA).
  • .552 SLG% (4th in the SEC and Top 10 in the NCAA).
  • 3.10 stolen bases per game (1st in the SEC and 2nd in the NCAA).
