SKILLMAN, N.J. – For the second time this season, the Mizzou Tennis doubles team of senior Kelli Hine (New Braunfels, Texas) and junior Bea Machado Santos (Lisbon, Portugal) is ranked in the Oracle/ITA Division I Women's Doubles Rankings by the Intercollegiate Tennis Association, announced on Tuesday. Hine and Santos enter the rankings at No. 46 with a record of 15-5, including an 8-2 mark at the No. 1 position in spring play.
The duo was ranked No. 56 in the Jan. 5 edition of the rankings before falling out of the Feb. 10 edition. The team is also ranked No. 4 in the central region rankings announced on Jan. 5.
Hine recorded her 100th career victory on Feb. 19 in a 6-1, 6-0, singles win over Mercer's Xandra Fougner at the No. 2 position. The Tigers' lone senior maintains an overall career record of 103-82, posting a 56-46 mark in singles play and 47-36 in doubles action. Of Hine's 103 wins, 90 have come at Mizzou (87.3 percent), with 13 coming in 2012-13 at Texas Tech.
Santos owns the best career win percentage of any Tiger, sitting at .638 with a record of 90-51. The Tiger junior has an outstanding doubles record of 50-19, including a career-high 19 wins in doubles play this season.
