BIRMINGHAM, Ala. – Mizzou Softball will be featured in eight nationally televised games during its upcoming 2016 Southeastern Conference schedule, as announced Friday by the SEC office.
In addition to their eight games on the ESPN family of networks, the Tigers' regular season finale on May 8 at South Carolina will be featured as part of a three-hour Based Loaded show on SEC Network. The new Based Loaded show will move across each of the day's games and highlight the top moments of a pivotal day of SEC action.
Six of Mizzou's eight televised SEC games in 2016 will air on SEC Network while the remaining two matchups will broadcast live on ESPNU.
The Tigers' first two televised games will take place from March 27-28 at Alabama on SEC Network. First pitch in Tuscaloosa, Ala., is set for 6 p.m. (CT) each night. Mizzou will make its first appearance on ESPNU when it hosts Georgia on April 9 at University Field. First pitch is scheduled for 6:30 p.m. (CT).
SEC Network will air two consecutive games from April 24-25 as Mizzou hosts Texas A&M in Columbia, Mo., with start times set for 6 p.m. (CT) each day. The following weekend, Mizzou travels to Mississippi State and its games on April 30 and May 1 will be televised live on SEC Network. First pitch for both games in Starkville, Miss., is scheduled for 3:30 p.m. (CT).
The Tigers' final broadcast will take place on May 7 as South Carolina makes its way to Mid-Missouri. First pitch at University Field is scheduled for 2 p.m. (CT) and the game will air live on ESPNU.
Additionally, SEC Network is set to air every First Round and Second Round game of the 2016 SEC Softball Tournament in Starkville, Miss., from May 11-14. The Semifinals will air on ESPNU while the Championship will broadcast on ESPN.
