COLUMBIA, Mo. - The Mizzou soccer team opens its 20th season of competition on Friday, Aug. 21 as the team hosts TCU at 6:30 p.m. at Walton Stadium. The Tigers then host SMU on Sunday, Aug. 23 at 1 p.m., also at Walton Stadium. Both matches will be broadcast live on SEC Network +, witth Ben Arnet and Simon Rose on the call on Friday and Arnet and former Tiger Kaysie Clark calling the action on Sunday.

TIGER TIDBITS
- 2015 marks the 20th season of Mizzou soccer, as the program started in 1996 under the direction of current Head Coach Bryan Blitz. Blitz and the Tigers own identical 208-165-24 records in 19 seasons.
- Eight starters are back for Mizzou in 2015 from the 2014 squad that went 12-7-3 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.
- Mizzou lost four-year starting goalkeeper McKenzie Sauerwein to graduation but returns the entire backline.
- Senior midfielder Reagan Russell is Mizzou's top returning scorer after she notched career bests of seven goals and four assists for 18 points as a junior in 2014. Russell was also named to the All-SEC second team a year ago.
- The 2015 schedule features three nationally televised games, 10 home contests and regular season matchups with five teams that qualified for the 2014 NCAA Tournament.
- In exhibition action, the Tigers posted a pair of ties at No. 4 UCLA and against SEC foe Arkansas. Mizzou opened preseason play with a 0-0 tie against the Bruins on Aug. 12, then secured a 1-1 tie against the Razorbacks in Kansas City on Aug. 15 after a first half goal from sophomore Kaitlyn Clark
FOUR TIGERS NAMED TO SEC WATCH LIST
Four members of the Mizzou soccer team earned spots on the Southeastern Conference Preseason Watch List, the league announced on Aug. 13.
Seniors Candace Johnson and Reagan Russell, both 2014 All-SEC second team selections, as well as junior Melanie Donaldson and sophomore Kaitlyn Clark were named the the Watch List, which is released in place of a preseason All-SEC team.

Following the opening weekend, Mizzou travels to West Lafayette, Ind., to play in the Boilermaker Challenge Cup. The Tigers face Indiana on Friday, Aug. 28 and host Purdue on Sunday, Aug. 30.
