
Mizzou Falls 4-1 To No. 24 LSU At SEC Tournament

Tigers end Spring 2015 season with nine victories
COLUMBIA, S.C. - A day after a first round upset, Mizzou tennis saw their 2015 SEC Women's Tennis Tournament come to a close after falling 4-1 to No. 24 LSU Thursday afternoon. Mizzou finishes the 2014-15 season with a 9-18 record, and one SEC victory to their name.
The Tigers' lone victory on the afternoon came at No. 3 singles courtesy of sophomore Beatriz Machado Santos. The Lisbon, Portugal native finished her 2015 SEC Tournament with a perfect 2-0 record in singles competition.
For the season, Santos finished with three conference singles victories, tied for first among Mizzou tennis players.
No. 14 seed Mizzou and No. 6 seed LSU started Thursday off at singles play indoors, due to continuing inclement weather in the Columbia, S.C. area. LSU took home wins in four-of-five contests to clinch the overall match against Mizzou.
