Dance squad continues top-5 tradition
COLUMBIA, Mo. – The Golden Girls had a stellar weekend at the National Dance Alliance Collegiate Championships, earning a national runner-up finish in Daytona Beach, Fla.
Mizzou's official dance squad scored a 9.689 in the Dance Open Division IA to finish second behind only 14-time national champion BYU. The Golden Girls edged out squads from Purdue, UMass and West Virginia, among others.
The performance continued the dance squad's tradition of top-five finishes; in addition, the team placed sixth in the Hip Hop category, making the Golden Girls just one of two squads to finish among the top six in both categories.
