
Hine Tallies Ranked Singles Win At Kentucky

LEXINGTON, Ky. - Junior Kelli Hine defeated a nationally ranked opponent in singles play today, despite the Tigers dropping a 6-1 overall matchup at No. 20 Kentucky. The win for Hine came against No. 85 ranked Nadia Ravita in three sets.
Hine's nationally ranked victory was her second of its kind this season. The other came on September 20, 2014, as she defeated No. 42 ranked Georgiana Patrasc (Mississippi State).
Following her big victory today, Hine improved her spring singles record to 9-9 (.500). The nine singles wins is tied for first on the team alongside teammate Cassidy Spearman.
Mizzou looks for their first SEC victory of the season next Friday in Columbia, Mo. The Tigers and Tennessee compete on March 27 at 5 p.m. (CT), and two days later on Sunday, March 29 the Tigers face No. 4 Georgia at 12 p.m. (CT).
